SUNSHINE BROTHERHOOD COMMUNITY CENTER

The Sunshine Brotherhood Community Center is a nonprofit foundation that provides a warm and welcoming family atmosphere for individuals in need. Every week, The Sunshine Brotherhood Community Center provides over 500 families with food, clothing, counseling, utility, job and housing assistance. The center is equipped with a one of a kind computer lab for job searches and resume writing.

Low-income families, working families, impoverished senior citizens, and countless children have found a helping hand at the Center. The center gives out over 30,000 pounds of food each week with the help of dedicated, loving and caring volunteers.

Participants come to Social Services for various reasons. Many have experienced different challenges, and are living with social problems including inadequate income, job loss, educational insufficiencies and broken families. Many recognize the need to have a relationship with God, who is able to supply them with whatever they require. Whatever the need is, we are there to be their bridge across troubled water, and to show our appreciation to the families that we serve.

OUR MISSION

The primary mission of the center, is to deliver a message of compassion, love and hope to those in need by providing nutritional basics, empowerment, education and encouragement.

The Sunshine Brotherhood Community Center gives out over 30,000 pounds of food every week Feeding over 500 families weekly. Donations are welcomed Tuesday at Panola Road and Thursday (2nd & 4th Thursday) from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at:

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

The Sunshine Brotherhood Community Center functions because of a wonderful pool of volunteers. Each week people donate their time packing boxes, stocking shelves, sorting and folding clothing, loading and un- loading vans filled with food and individuals to greet clients.
